Piere Gasly’s Comment on the Incident in the Japanese GP

Piere Gasly shared a statement on his Instagram handle stating his view on the incident that occurred in the Japanese GP…

Glad to go home safe tonight. For the respect of Jules, all his family and for our safety and the one of the marshals, there should never be any tractor/crane nor marshals on track in such conditions with such poor visibility before we all get back in the pits. Period. We got to learn from the past, hopefully no one gets to experience this ever again.

Big shoutout to every fan who showed up today in the grandstand despite this crazy weather! Its always a unique experience to come here racing in Japan in front of all of you.

Huge congratulations to @maxverstapen1 , Red Bull & Honda for another world champ!! Bossed it all season!!

The incident was caused after Carlos Sainz crashed and his car was being recovered by the tractor, which was literally invisible behind the spray of the cars, and Piere Gasly nearly missed it which made him furious about the incident…

He was caught speeding under the yellow flags which he replied, that’s what he would have done in the situation…

The FIA has stated that they will conduct a full review as to why a tractor (recovery vehicle) was on the track trying to recover. Carlos Sainz’s car whilst the circuit was still active with cars on it…
