Porsche 963 VS Ferrari 499P Hypercars

Porsche vs. Ferrari – their GTE-Pro fights over the last couple of years have been absolutely phenomenal and now both are moving up to the top class. Yes, there will be many manufacturers in the HYPERCAR class, but having these two on the grid is just remarkable. No other brands consider racing a part of their DNA as much as they do – and gladly they are both coming to HYPERCAR, looking to add to their highly successful histories. Both cars turned out to be absolutely stunning, but which is your favorite?

I think for the upcoming WEC weekend in Bahrain I will also cover the GTE-Pro title fight a bit, as it will essentially be the same drivers that will move up to the top class next year. At least the 92 Porsche drivers will both drive the 963 next year and – while unconfirmed – I am pretty sure both of the #51 Ferrari drivers should get a 499P drive next year as well… Ferrari’s 51 is the favorite to take the title, but thanks to the 1.5x points for the 8h race, the 92 can still win the title on its own (pole + win). But the 91 and even the 52 are still not completely out of it (though unlikely). So let’s enjoy this last GTE-Pro battle before the Porsche-Ferrari rivalry will become even more intense in the top class from 2023 onwards!
