Following the recent news that Alpine’s CEO Laurent Rossi has been replaced and a new manager named Philippe Criaff has arrived – Alpine has asked to replace Otmar Szafnauer as team manager immediately starting this weekend!
But not only Otmar, Alpine announced that they are also “parting ways” with their sporting director, Alan Ferman after being part of the team since 1989. Technical director Pat Frey is also leaving and will join Williams!
Bruno Famin, Alpine’s VP, will take over the role of team manager on a temporary basis from the Dutch Grand Prix until the end of the season. Alpine’s academy director, Julian Rose, will be the sporting director on a temporary basis and Matt Harman will lead the technical team at the factory. Also Julian And Matt will also report to Bruno Famine directly.
There is no doubt that this is a big chaos with Alpine’s management right now and it will probably continue for quite some time
